I have a couple of these standard grippers. They are very comfortable and grip well when using weights. I use up to 2 1/4 lbs. I can wear them for several hours with non discomfort. I have a number of the custom snug and comfort grippers that are no where as good as the standard gripper for comfort or gripping.

I've tried almost every size of the new retainer and this is the only one that I can use for all day (8+) hours with zero discomfort. It doesn't slip probably due to the smooth silicone (not silicon as the description says). It grabs clean skin very well without having to cut off all the blood with a death-grip.
